
INVITATION TO HOLD AN EVENT DURING BRISBANE PRIDE FESTIVAL 2010
BRISBANE PRIDE INCORPORATED INVITES COMMUNITY GROUPS, BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS TO SUBMIT AN EVENT AS PART OF THE BRISBANE PRIDE FESTIVAL 2010. EVENTS MUST RELATE TO THE LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER AND INTERSEX COMMUNITY/CULTURE.
Events can be organised to be held on any day(s) of the week between Sunday 1st June and Monday 30th June. Events can run for a period of time (ie. Theatre performance that runs on consecutive nights or an event that happens on a specific day of each week) of just be a one off event. The Festival theme for 2010 is Love our way, and thought to include this theme is appreciated. All event applications must be received by the 2nd April 2010. Brisbane Pride Festival advises that no guarantees can be made that your event will make the 2010 Pride Guide if submitted after this date.
REGISTRATION FEES
A small registration fee is payable fro each event held during the festival. The fees are as follows:
A not-for-profit community group
With free admission to their event $35.00
A not-for-profit community group
With charged admission to their event $45.00
A business or individual
With free admission to their event $60.00
A business or individual
With charged admission to their event $70.00
You can hold more than one event if you wish. However each event you organise requires both an additional event form to be completed and a further registration fee.
WHAT THE FEES COVER
In return for your payment Brisbane Pride Festival offers you the following:
• A 50 word listing of your event(s) o the official Brisbane Pride Festival 2010 website
• Your event(s) will be listed in the printed Pride Guide
• Your Event(S) will be included within our regular editorials in QNews.
• Your event(s) will be announced/discussed on 4ZZZ Community Radio 102.1 fm during Dykes on Mykes and Queer Radio and Switch 119.7 am
• Your event(s) will be listed in the street press prior to the Festival Commencing.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
• Please read the form through first, to make sure that you are completing the correct sections.
• Please complete the form in BLOCK LETTERS (apart form email and website addresses)
• The events Form is set up as a tax invoice
• Payment and completed event form must be received by Friday 2nd April 2010
• You can pay by cheque or by EFT – details are below

Conditions of Event Acceptance: Brisbane Pride Festival does not have to accept any event applications submitted after the 2nd April 2010. The Brisbane Pride Festival reserves the right to refuse an event into the Official Festival Program, based upon reasonable concerns. • The Brisbane Pride Festival does not accept responsibility for any incorrect publicity. All information will be obtained via the official event form, please ensure that the information you provide is correct. If changes occur to your event, it is your responsibility to notify the Brisbane Pride Festival in writing as soon as possible so that web listings can be updated. However if the changes occur after the printing deadline, Brisbane Pride Festival accepts no responsibility for incorrectly printed information. • Any events submitted after the 2nd April 2010 will not be published in the Official Festival Pride Guide. • The Pride Festival Logo can in no way be altered or changed. Upon approval a copy of the correct logo will be forward to you for use in print and web material. • The 2010 Festival Logo can in no way be altered or changed, or used on any print or web material with out prior approval from the Festival Committee. • Any use of the Brisbane Pride Festival Logo must be approved prior to use, by the festival committee. All advertising material which includes the Logo or advertises as part of the Brisbane Pride Festival, must be approved by the Festival Committee prior to going to print. The Brisbane Festival reserves the right to request advertising to be pulled if it is deemed to be offensive or in any way could damage the reputation of the festival.
